All presenting donors will also be given a racing-themed lip balm with SPF 15. The incentives are part of a Red Cross promotion to help boost blood supplies around Independence Day weekend.

Citing potential shortages of certain blood types before and after the Independence Day holiday weekend, the American Red Cross has announced a donor appreciation promotion that includes a chance to win a 0 gas gift card and complimentary lip balm. Donors will also be entered into a national Red Cross sweepstakes to win a 2011 Ford Fiesta.
